Mr and Mrs Fred Chiesa who ran the Chiesa Candy Kitchen in Richwood for 41 years sold the business and building to Mr and Mrs Earl Minke of Detroit Michigan They plan to move to Fort Wayne Indiana where their daughters reside The Chiesas have three daughters Anna Mary Caroline and Lina with two daughters teaching in Ft Wayne and one daughter in Defiance Ohio The family may visit Italy this summer and Mrs Chiesa will return home for the first time since immigrating here

The Richwood Vacation Church School will run Monday through Friday from June 6 to June 17, 9 to 11 a.m. It is held in three sections for different age groups at Central Methodist Baptist and First Methodist churches. Pre schools start after a four birthday if mother helps with younger child. Grades follow last year’s standards.

The Starlight Circle of The King's Daughters held its May meeting at Mrs. Betty Mowery's home with President Becky Blue presiding. Eula Jean Gulliford gave devotions and led the Lord's Prayer. R Kenneth Wood of Richwood was chosen chairman of the Clark County Chapter of the American Red Cross at the annual election replacing A Maxwell McKnight. The third year primary class of First Baptist held a wiener roast last Friday in the Keever yard on E Ottawa street with thirteen members present. At the eighth grade commencement Luzon Groty and Harold Saxton received certificates for top one percent in the state. Commencement exercises for Richwood high school graduates were held May 26 in the auditorium.
