Farm worker injured eye in wire fencing accident
Casper Rausch was cutting wire on his farm when a strand flew into his right eye. The optic was severely cut and doctors feared blindness but he is recovering as well as expected under the care of Dr. Harry Southard.

After two years, Hornbeck gives himself up for assault on 15 year old Florence Judd. He had enjoyed limited visits with his aged parent and son at York and had fled to Oklahoma before surrendering to authorities.

Death of Mrs. Sarah Willis in Taylor Township
Mrs. Sarah Willis aged 52 died Saturday at her home in Taylor township after a long illness of consumption. A Virginia native, she lived in Union township for nearly fifty years. Survived by husband R. H. Willis and son Edgar Willis. two stepsons from a former marriage. Funeral Monday at Free Baptist church conducted by Rev. F. C. Reed of Kenton. Interment in Broadway.

Findlay businessman W G Kirk lost a gold watch in January near Bokes Creek on the Marysville Kenton road while fixing his car. A girl named Mary McIlroy found it, returned it after an advertisement identified the owner, and received a hand bag with five silver dollars as a reward.

Severe Flooding Hits Marysville Streets After Heavy Rain
Heavy rainfall Friday evening floods Marysville with Seventh Maple and Ninth streets inundated. The Town Run overflowed flooding homes of Ellen Miller William Loucks John Draper Jr. and Charles Loucks who moved upstairs. Loucks rescued pigs as Ninth and Walnut bridges washed away and cellars filled with water while furnace fires were extinguished.

Matinee Club Officers Elected in Marysville Meeting
The Marysville Matinee Club elected officers for the coming year at its annal meeting in Secretary Brodrick's office. Edward F Healey was named president with Homer Southard as first vice president and John N Laird as second vice president. Milo L Myers was chosen secretary and Walter C Fullington treasurer, with about $320 in the treasury. Plans for the season’s racing were discussed and meetings will be held in Myers' office.

Marysville High Falls to Worthington In Close Contest
Marysville High School basketball lost to Worthington 37 to 26 on Friday. After a 17–17 halftime tie, Worthington pulled away with 20 points to Marysville’s 9. Demorest led Marysville with 14 of the seventeen points. Worthington among state’s best, with one prior loss to Otterbein University.

Incendiary Fire Endangers Civil War Vet Browning
A fire at the home of Civil War veteran C D Browning occurred about 1 20 am Thursday on Franklin street. Neighbors aided Browning who escaped in night clothes and the State Fire Marshal began an investigation. The incident may be arson and caused about 350 dollars in loss with insurance to cover it.
