County Bonds Sell Boldly in Union County Auction
The Union County commissioners sold 40,000 of ditch bonds at 4 1 2 percent to the Hayden Miller Co of Cleveland for 1227 premium and 30,000 of bridge bonds at 5 percent to The First National Bank of Cleveland for 1275 premium. Bonds are 500 each. Bridge issue matures in twenty years and ditch issue in ten. Thirteen bidders, including three local banks, participated. This was the largest bond sale in years.
