A barn hay mow fire in a large stock barn trapped Mr. Harris as he fought to clear a chute for escape. A lantern spilled, igniting dry hay and the upper story burned, destroying the barn and about thirty tons of hay while all stock was saved and a nearby silo suffered only light damage.
Miss Edna L Hoover, 25, died at her father Adam W Hoovers home three miles southwest of Sunday at 1 30 am after a long illness. Death attributed to nervous prostration. She is survived by her mother Letha Davis and father. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 30 pm at Bethlehem with Rev E K Barss officiating. Burial followed at Claiborne.

Leland Frum fourteen died Sunday night at home from meningitis following tonsillitis. Born February 15, 1906 he was a Richwood High sophomore and a member of Richwood Baptist Church. Survived by his parents two brothers Harold and Raymond and sister Helen funeral Wednesday at 1 30 p m conducted by Rev H C Gillespie burial at Claiborne Cemetery arranged by S R Sanders.
I. W. Arnold of Raymond surrendered after months absent and pleaded not guilty to five indictments. He was remanded to jail after failing to post a $31,000 bond.
Harvey Pierce a 15 year old patient at Jane Case hospital Delaware received a bouquet of American Beauty roses from President Elect Harding. Senator Elect Frank B Willis delivered the gesture to the hospital on behalf of the new leader.

Former county commissioner John M. Lowe died at his Magnetic Springs area home after apoplexy struck days earlier. Born April 8 1858 he lived his life in the county. Survived by widow son George Lowe Delaware and brother Freeman Lowe Magnetic Springs. Body placed in Claiborne cemetery mausoleum.
Miss Aprial Teets married Glenn Carr of Prospect on Thursday evening at the M EB parsonage officiated by Dr. M M Fig ley. Mrs. Carr is daughter of Pearl Teets and resided near Richwood. Mr Carr is son of John and Mrs. Carr.

Fred Fish 56 of near Big Springs Logan county died Monday night at Delaware Springs sanitarium after an operation last Thursday. He leaves a widow and a son Chester of Big Springs, two sisters Mrs Jane McVey Putnam county and Mrs Anna Palmer Delaware county, and sister-in-law Mrs David Neal Richwood. Body brought to Richwood. funeral planned at the Fish home and burial at Claiborne cemetery with Lloyd Winter in charge.
Walter Roush aged 27 died last Wednesday in Toledo from heart trouble. He was brother to Mrs. Harry Tallman and previously lived in Richwood with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roush. Survived by widow, parents in Toledo, two brothers Herbert of Marion and Frank of Toledo, and three sisters Mrs. E J O Donal d, Mrs. William Balequett, and Mrs. Tallman.
