Devotional led by Mrs. Edward Brewster followed by a program including readings, a play Mothers of the World, character roles from several churches, and carols. Refreshments were served in the basement dining room by Mrs. Sturgis Cheney. High School Building Break-In Reported
Sheriff Walter Galloway investigated a Saturday evening burglary at Richwood High School. About $15 was stolen from the office desk and wall chest, several windows were broken, and total property damage exceeded one hundred dollars. Superintendent H R Fisher reported the entry after discovering the scene Sunday afternoon. Entry method unknown.

Miss Marjorie Winkle of Richwood and Dannie Davis of Bellefontaine were married Sunday evening at 5 30 in a double ring ceremony at the bride's parents home on South Pearl Street. The bride wore ice blue satin with a pearl necklace. attendants included matron of honor Mrs Lucille Ledley. Best man was Fred Davis. A reception for 55 relatives followed. Davis, a U S Army member stationed in California, will report for duty December 28 after a wedding trip.

Union County Farm Bureau Holds Annual Turkey Dinner 1949
More than one hundred Farm Bureau membership workers met at the Farm Bureau Hall on Saturday December 10 1949 to report on the 1950 membership drive. Approximately 500 Union County farmers have paid their 1950 dues and the drive continues through December and January. A moment of silence was observed for George Bishop a charter member who passed away recently. The meeting featured a turkey dinner a show of membership dues by township and an award of door prizes.

Richwood residents are invited to the grand opening of the new Legion assembly hall on Friday evening December 30. Cooper's orchestra will provide music for round and square dances and four January dances are planned including a polio drive fundraiser on January 6. The first and second grade pupils of Richwood school presented the operetta The Isle of Christmas Dreams Tuesday night under Mrs. Dean Cochran with aid from Miss Ann Jones and teachers. Damages Awarded Local Farmer For Loss Of Eye
Giles McDaniel received 3683.33 dollars from a common pleas jury in a suit against his father Frank McDaniel of Claiborne Township over a barn repair accident two years earlier. The younger McDaniel claimed loss of sight in his right eye after being struck by a spike. The elder McDaniel had insurance with Shawnee Mutual Insurance. Sanders and Grigsby represented the plaintiff. Jurors included Paul Davis and Stella Salsbury among others.
