Bread Truck Collision Damages Vehicle In Morning Crash

A bread truck owned by Gene McDaniel sustained heavy damage in a Tuesday morning crash near West Mansfield at about 6 30. Gene and Granville McDaniel were in the truck and collided with an oncoming car. No serious injuries were reported. Gene McDaniel suffered a broken tooth.

Former Richwood Resident Dies on Monday

Roy Everett Jones 58, foreman at the Erie freight house in Marion and former Erie employee at Galion, died suddenly of angina pectoris at his Marion home. Born Radnor October 16, 1880, he married Bertha Shambaugh of Columbus July 3, 1913. Funeral Thursday at 2 PM, burial in Marion Cemetery.

Auto Accident Kills Two Children in Ohio Area

Mrs Margarets Hoover of Rawson and Paul Buckley age 27 of White House die in a December 14 collision near Findlay as a second car with relatives and a boy passenger suffers non fatal injuries. Fields Celebrate Sixty Years of Married Life in Richwood

On Christmas Eve Mr and Mrs J R Fields mark their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Married December 24 1878 they spent most of their lives in Richwood with twenty years in Marion Ohio. They have three living children Eliza B Fields and Mrs Fred Scherff of Marion and Grover C Fields near Richwood, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The Fortnightly Literary club met on December 15 at Miss Pauline Prichard's home. Miss Lucille Smith assisted. The event featured two carols, read story Home for Christmas by Lloyd Douglas, a solo by Mrs Blanche Hostetter, a buffet lunch, and a Christmas gift exchange. Class Meeting Largely Attended by Young Ladies

Thirty six members answered roll call Monday evening as Mrs. Paul Curl hosted the M. E. church Young Ladies' Bible class. Assistant hostesses included Mrs. J. D. Hunter and others. Christmas carols were sung and Mrs. Blanche White gave a paper on Mary mother of Jesus. A playlet titled On the Air was presented. Gifts exchanged and luncheon served.

William B Mitchell dies at 73 in Toledo

William Blaine Mitchell 73 of Broadway died at his granddaughter’s home in Toledo on Wednesday December 14 from complications after a period of ill health. He was born March 13 1865 in Chuckery Union County and married Alice Grant Blake 11 years ago. He leaves a widow two granddaughters a great granddaughter two brothers and a daughter. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 pm at Broadway M E church with interment in Broadway cemetery.

John D Price dies suddenly at 70 in Marion

John D Price 70 died suddenly of a heart attack at his Marion home. A former blacksmith in the Marion Steam Shovel plant, he retired about four years ago due to ill health. He was born October 26, 1868 in Essex and married Clara Miley in 1907. Survived by widow Clara and many children, a sister, five brothers, and other relatives. Funeral held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Schaffer Center, Marion. Burial in Marion Cemetery.

Civil War Veteran Cyrus Stamats Seriously Ill At Home

Civil War veteran Cyrus Stamats, living with his daughter Mrs. George Williams west of town, has been seriously ill with uremia poisoning over the past week. He marked his birthday on Tuesday the 6th and usually winters in Georgia but will not travel this year due to ill health. his condition is reported as improved.
