Death of Martha McMahon-Asbell in Marion at 35
Mrs Martha McMahon-Asbell daughter of the late Harrison McMahon of York township died at her Marion home last Sunday morning about 9 o clock after a stomach cancer. The remains were brought to Richwood and the funeral held at York at 1 o'clock Tuesday with Rev Brackney officiating. Interment followed in York.

Thumb Severed In Accident With Horse And Buggy
Dick Hoskins lost his right thumb when a horse stumbled and pulled the rope around the thumb as he led the animal beside his buggy. The tendon tore loose and the doctor had to remove bone so skin could cover the wound. Hoskins, a lease manager on Lease 64, rested with the injury last night.

Richard T. Fields Killed at Columbus Machine Plant
Richard T. Fields 62 years old, a repairer at Columbus Machine Company, fell from a 45 foot joist and died after his head struck a support. He was a longtime employee, a millwright, and a member of McCoy Post G A R and the Masons. He leaves two granddaughters, and his brother H E W Fields attended his funeral in Richwood.
