Santa arrives Saturday December 21 at 7 30 p.m. on Franklin Street for the children’s Christmas treat.

Old Man Winter struck last Saturday with the season's coldest reading. Richwood registered 0 to 1 degree below zero Saturday morning and reached zero again Sunday. An inch of snow remained. By Monday the temperature rose to 10 above, then Tuesday saw five below zero.

New School Districts Form Amid Consolidation Meeting

Fire Ravages Several Marysville Sites Including Dinner Bell
Two fires Sunday in Marysville caused about 200000 dollars in damage. The Dinner Bell Restaurant at 125 E Fifth Street was destroyed and injured four nearby businesses. A second blaze at Tijuana Inn on 122 N Main Street caused 15000 dollars in damage. Firefighters from ten departments, including Richwood and Raymond, battled the blazes with 16 units and 75 to 80 men. Earlier, the Cox home on County Road 213 in Taylor Township burned, with origin undetermined.
