Winnemac Pike Mailboxes Vandalized in Union County

Ohio Edison Refiles Rate Increase Request

Ohio Edison Company refiled with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio a request to raise residential and commercial electric rates in Richwood and 88 other municipalities. The proposal, mirroring the March 30 1973 filing, seeks about 27.3 million dollars in annual revenue and an estimated 10 to 15 cent daily rise for the average customer.

Members of the Community Services Association of Union County outline a three fold plan to aid needy residents. Donations of food clothing and money can be sent to John Perry in Marysville. Names of recipients should be called in to Mrs Floyd Kasler who coordinates to avoid duplication. Volunteers for packing baskets helping with Toys for Tots and deliveries may contact Jean Reed. Santa to Visit Richwood Over Christmas Weekend

Santa Claus is coming to Richwood in a pre Christmas trip organized by P A R T People Active for Richwood Today. He will stop by Richwood businesses Thursday and Friday December 20 and 21 greeting residents then spend Saturday December 22 at a house at the Franklin Ottawa Street intersection giving out Christmas treats to area children.

Lions Ladies Night Awards At Valley Hi Ski Resort

The Lions Club Christmas party drew 94 Lions, their ladies, and guests to Valley Hi Ski Resort near Bellefontaine. Kenneth Van Zant hosted as awards were given to William Cheney, Van Zant, and Paul J. Speyer for recruiting new members.
