Judge Grants Temporary Injunction on Tax Collections
Will Net Tene Taxes in Richwood Next Judge Duncan Dow last Wednesday after noon to Bellefontaine granted a temporary injunction restraining County Treasurer J W Tilton from going to Richwood in January and collecting taxes for Claibourne Washington York and Jackson townships as has been the custom in June and January by county treasurers for over twenty years. The action was secured by Geo B Gregg of Leesburg township who has filed an injunction praying for a permanent restraining against collection at Richwood or any place except the court house. The plaintiff alleges that moving the books tax duplicate etc from the treasurer's office is illegal.
