Richwood Blood Donors Give Fifty-one Pints

The Columbus Regional Blood Mobile visited Richwood on December 1 and collected fifty-one pints toward a 150 pint quota. Donors listed include Charles L. Adams and David C. Davis among many others. Voluntary workers, nurses, canteen staff and physicians supported the drive.

Living Figures Nativity Scene Planned at First Baptist

The Young Adult Class of First Baptist Church and Baptist Youth Fellowship plan the Living Figures Nativity on the church front. Details were set at a Sunday meeting for performances December 21 22 23 from 7 to 9 pm. William Russell of Mt. Victory presented slides of last year’s scenes at the evening service.

Pot-Luck Supper Enjoyed by First Baptist Classes

The Philathea and Richards Bible classes at First Baptist Church held a pot-luck supper and gift exchange in the church parlors on Tuesday evening. A Christmas program opened with scripture and a talk by Rev. Roth. Twenty-seven members and guests attended as they sang carols and enjoyed contests. Also noted a 50c gift exchange at the December Moth er's Study Club meeting hosted by Mrs Cecil Charles Jr. and news of Mrs Earl Dirst undergoing surgery in Columbus.

Lions Club Christmas Party at Richwood High

The Lions Club gathered at the Masonic Temple for a turkey dinner served by Richwood High School's junior class. Adam Stewart district governor and Grover S. Goodwin district secretary treasurer from Grove City attended and spoke on Lion ism. Plans for ladies night and the annual Christmas party were set for the next meeting December 15 at the high school auditorium with dinner at 7 o'clock.

Crusader class fellowship supper held November 26

About 50 members and guests of the Crusader class gathered in the church basement for a fellowship supper on November 26. Pauline and Donald White led devotions and a prayer poem. Bernice Morgan presented poems and a talk on Thanksgiving. a vocal trio and a saxophone solo entertained. Clyde Parish offered remarks on life’s minor things.

Roberta Hamilton Weds Roger Evans in Richwood

Miss Roberta Hamilton daughter of Mr and Mrs Ernest V Hamilton of Richwood became the bride of Roger B Evans son of Mr and Mrs Jay L Evans of Richwood on Sunday November 27 at the Richwood Central Methodist church. The ceremony at 2 pm was by Rev Charles W Stephens. Attendants were Mrs Lewis E Erwin and Mrs Hamilton. A reception followed in the church parlors for family relatives and friends with organ music by Mrs Jack E Hamilton. Out of town guests came from Marion Youngstown Radnor Marysville Columbus and Bartsow California. The couple planned a wedding trip through the South.

Monarchs Defeat Tigers on Opening Night in Marysville

Marysville’s tall sharp shooting Monarchs beat the Tigers on their home floor last Friday. Only Jack Fox reached double figures for the Tigers as the Monarchs led from start to finish. The reserves lost 44-33 with Bumgarner and Hartman scoring 10 each for Richwood. The Tigers play Magnetic Friday at home and travel to Mt. Gilead Saturday.

Claiborne Grange Holds November Meeting and Corn Show
