Last Saturday Max Wolgamot tied his sled to a farmer's rig heading west. A knot in the rope held the sled fast until he reached the forks west of town, then he had to abandon and return home broken-hearted. He asks the farmer to return the sled to Eagle drug store for payment.

Senior Class Entertained at Richwood Rural Home
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Allen hosted the senior class and friends at their rural home northwest of Richwood on Friday evening December 2 in honor of Roy Allen’s eighteenth birthday. Gold and white decor set the scene for a two course luncheon then games crowned Miss Doris Hubbard and Miss Marie Curry as winners while Fred Cheney and Bernard Coe took booby prizes. Roy received a handsome present and best wishes for many more birthdays. The Embroidery Club met at Mrs. J. P. Brooks on South Filton Street enjoying needlework with Mesdames O. G. Bolenbaugh and A. J. Miller present. Refreshments followed. Next meeting will be at Mrs. A. B. Simmons on December 16.

Ex mayor C. S. Norris of Richwood quietly traveled to Van Wert Ohio on November 30 to marry Mrs. Mary Penry of Radnor Ohio. The ceremony was at the bride’s parents home with Rev. T. P. James officiating. The couple plans a Chattanooga Tennessee visit before returning to Richwood to establish a home on east Bomford street.

Richwood Pioneer Mrs Elizabeth Rose Dies at 82
Mrs Elizabeth Rose a longtime Richwood resident and former schoolteacher died suddenly early in December after double pneumonia. Born Elizabeth Schecter in Maryland, she lived most of her life near Richwood and in Morrow county. She married Simeon Adams in 1850 and later Austin Rose. survivors include C McAllister Frank L. and Henry Adams. Funeral held at her home with Rev Lloyd officiating, interment Claiborne cemetery.

Death by Own Action of Henry J Newlove Harness Maker
Henry J Newlove, 37, of Allen township near Marysville, died after shooting himself with a 22 rifle yesterday morning at six. He had lived with his father in law Orsemus Poling at Brook's crossing. He rose at 5 30 after warning his wife and shot himself. death followed about 45 minutes later. He had a history of mental instability and had been in Columbus State hospital four years earlier. He leaves a widow of eleven years, no children, and siblings in Pittsburgh and elsewhere. He was a harness maker formerly with John Blair in Richwood and had been in West Jefferson, Ind, where he was rumored to have joined a secret order. Funeral arrangements were not yet made.

Fell on quarter hook injures Richwood man
Elmer Andrews about 35, a married Richwood resident, slipped at F F Browning’s meat market on South Pearl street Monday afternoon and fell onto a quarter hook. The hook pierced his jaw and knocked out a tooth, narrowly missing the jugular vein. He was freed by Browning and attended by Dr. H C Duke. recovery possible unless infection sets in.
