Christopher H. Noland 29 of Hamilton Ohio a Victory Motor Freight driver was instantly killed about 6 AM Tuesday when he struck a wrecked steel truck blocking Route 4 two miles north of Marysville The other driver Paul E Gilbert 21 of Germantown drove the steel truck into a cement bridge and jackknifed before flares were set He was taken to the Sheriff Galloway’s office The Marysville funeral home awaited word from relatives for Noland’s body

Pharisburg Man Accidentally Shot Friday Afternoon
Harvey Hecker twenty four of Pharisburg was accidentally shot Friday when a 22 caliber rifle he carried discharged. The bullet entered his throat and lodged in his left eye, and he was taken to Jane Case hospital in Delaware Ohio. Hecker had borrowed the gun from Donald Clevenger to go hunting and was talking with a local boy at his home when the accident occurred.
