A tuberculosis clinic will be held in Richwood on December 13 at the city building and December 12 at Marysville Elk's Home. Doctors T. C. Anderson and C. H. Beneon will act as examiners for suspected or exposed individuals. Patients are referred to their own physicians for treatment, and consent is required before registration.
Several lawsuits have been filed by Dr. C. Miller's guardian to recover money paid on options related to Magnetic Springs. After the deals were made Dr. Miller was adjudged insane, prompting action to reclaim the option payments.
The Woman's Benefit association of the Maccabees held a Friday meeting and elected Daisy Scott as sergeant and Stella Neel as Lieut Com. other officers include Sarah Cahill chaplain Mary Corbett record keeper Ida Kirk sergeant Laura Zus pan sentimental Rosa Lee picket Mary Money musician Keziah Moffett collector Mae Sanders. The next meeting is in two weeks.
Vera St John and George E Woods of Pontiac were married in Monroe on November 29 by Rev Crosby. Mrs Woods is the St John daughter of Pontiac and Mr Woods son of Richwood. They will live in Pontiac where he works at Oakland Motor Car Co. The couple had visited his parents here.
Fire gutted a barn on a Clarence Parish farm near Essex last Wednesday. Farm implements hay and corn valued at 1000 dollars were lost. The barn loss stood at 2000 dollars and no insurance was carried.

For weeks local poultry fanciers discuss a possible show. Breeders of pure-bred fowls in the area show enough interest to suggest a successful small event. A meeting to discuss details will be held Monday evening December 11 at the Gazette office for interested participants.
Four men escaped from Bellefontaine jail by sawing window bars and leaping 12 feet to the ground. They fled in an abandoned car found in Marion. One escapee was Charles Eddy formerly of Richwood, awaiting indictment by the Logan county grand jury.
Mrs. Margaret Rust of Richwood was granted a divorce from Gorman C. Rust by Judge R. L. Cameron. She receives $4 weekly for the support of son George Rust, 10.
Mrs Lydia Minnie Daum wife of John Daum of Jackson township died Sunday night at 9 after a stroke of apoplexy four hours earlier. She attended church, visited her brother Frank Wottring before the attack. Born April 21 1868, she leaves husband a daughter Daisy a sister Mrs Edward Benedict and four brothers. Funeral at Grace Lutheran Essex with Rev S Hungiker. Burial at Price cemetery under Lloyd Winter supervision.

The Richwood Baptist team defeated Kap pa Alpha Phil 29 to 28 in a fast game. Standouts for Richwood were Gast Jones Matteson Parks Shoup Morrison and Griffith with the latter two subbing. Marion's squad featured Cramer Griffen Robbins Abbott and Schweinfurth with Rank and Cobb as substitutes.
A large community gathering is planned for Friday evening in the high school building. Dr. Meade of Ohio Wesleyan will speak, children will perform, lunch will be served, and a collection will be taken. The event ends with a basketball game against Prospect to dedicate the new gym floor.

Friends gathered Friday evening at Miss Marian Haughn s home to honor her twentieth birthday. The party featured games and delicious refreshments provided by the hostess, and Miss Haughn received many nice presents.
The family of W. E. Boyd held their annual Thanksgiving dinner at R. E. Parisa's home in Essex. Attending were W. E. Boyd and wife, Bernice Howison, Earl Russell and son, William Russell, Addie Walter, May Griffith and son Carroll, John J. Tron and wife, and Lucille Howison, with guests from Prospect Marion and Richwood.
Mr and Mrs S R Sanders hosted a rabbit supper on south Fulton street Friday for the football team as a reward for their season. Officers elected at the meeting include Gwynn Sanders as captain and Neal Kyle as manager. The event featured orange and black decor and a 40 place setting.

Benjamin Franklin Rush died at his home northwest of Richwood Saturday noon after a long illness due to cerebral hemorrhage. He was 78. Survived by widow and ten children including Mrs. Oscar Martino Cecil Rush Mrs. Asa McCreary Gorman Virgil Lawrence Aras Clifford Zelma Rush and Mrs. Guy Huffman and a twin sister Mrs. Myers of Alexandria. Funeral held at home Tuesday by Rev Gibbins of West Mansfield and burial at Price cemetery. S. R. Sanders in charge.
Mrs Gertrude Dunfee of Unionville Center pleaded guilty before Mayor Yealey to violating Ohio quarantine laws. Her household, including two other adults, had scarlet fever and was under at least thirty day quarantine. A nurse replaced the card after residents removed it and avoided checks. Dunfee was fined 50 dollars and costs.
The fifteenth century usage of the term vaudeville referred to an old Norman folk song. This historical label links the word to traditional regional songcraft in Norman England.
Richwood High defeats Milford Center 67 to 0 on Thanksgiving day as coach Humphreys rotates the squad. Richwood improved to eight wins one draw two losses in the season while amassing 273 points to 77 for rivals.

Mr and Mrs E I Fissel moved to West Liberty from Cleveland and took possession December first. They bought a meat market at West Liberty with Mr Weller a nephew of Mrs Fissel as partner.
