In pouring rain at the season finale, Richwood High and North Lewisburg battled to a 0–0 tie. Key players include Sanders Schertzer Kinney Kyle and Lee. The rain soaked field hindered ground game while Richwood attempted 15 passes and finished with no completions.

Bellefontaine Chiropractors Freed After 26 Days Jail

Three chiropractors from Bellefontaine Evans Frank Gray and Geo Har man were released from county jail after 26 days by Justice John 8 Pettit. They had refused to pay the $25 fines for operating without a license.

Richwood Forms 25-Piece Symphony Orchestra

A new 25 member symphony orchestra is organized from Richwood amateur musicians. Under Glen Beckley the ensemble includes 7 violins 2 clarinets 2 cornets 2 trombones 4 saxophones bass viol piano drums and xylophone. David Neal is president Ralph Fackler secretary treasurer and Marion Winters business manager. Rehearsals are weekly on Tuesdays at the K of P Hall.

Christmas Seal Sale Aims For Largest Richwood Drive

Christmas seals for 1923 have arrived in Richwood and a county-wide sale is planned. Ohio is allotted thirty million seals with Richwood receiving twenty thousand. This marks the sixteenth year of tubercu losis fund raising in the county. Eighty percent of proceeds support local aid for malnourished school children, including milk and food, to combat tuberculosis among the physically weak.

Albert Gardner Taken Ill in Richwood Home

Albert Gardner, longtime Richwood resident now living in Peoria, is very ill at his daughter Mrs. Foster Graham’s home near Woodstock after a stroke of paralysis. Death is expected.

Civil War Veteran Andrew McGinnis Dies in Kansas

Andrew McGinnis aged 82 uncle of J S McGinnis died Friday night at his daughter Mrs Jesse Kanaga home in Hutchinson Kansas. He was born near Summersville and served in the 82nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He leaves three sons and a daughter.

Suit to Construe Will Decided in Richwood Court

Judge R L Cameron ruled on the will of Mrs Elizabeth Kyle finding the Baptist church of Richwood should receive 3000 from the estate. The decedent altered prior bequests to provide 4000 for a church building and 2500 for its construction, then reduced and codiciled the gifts to 3000. The executor argued 500 remained due to the church.

Runaway Lad Is Held Here

A 17 year old runaway from Knoxville with two companions left Knoxville on November 17 and traveled to Cincinnati from Chicago. He was placed in the village jail Monday night after Marion juvenile court officers sent him here. He says he wishes to return to Knoxville where his father lives at 317 1/2 Wall Avenue. The Knoxville chief of police were asked to locate the father and inform local officers.

Sturgis Michigan resident William A Dresser of Lafayette Indiana owns a farm 12 miles long and 85 feet wide used for farming over 70 years. The land was once the Wabash and Erie canal right of way and was converted after canal abandonment around the Civil War. He bought the property after a tax sale bid.
