Miss Iona Drake Arrested for theft at New Home restaurant
Miss Iona Drake was arrested Friday on a charge of stealing a gold watch from Mrs. Durfey wife of a New Home restaurant proprietor. She pleaded guilty before Mayor Hamilton, was fined five dollars and costs, paid by her father, and released. Drake had been employed as a domestic at the restaurant and gave the watch to her sweetheart William Hall who took it to a jeweler for repairs unaware of the theft.

Thanksgiving day observed in Marysville with factory shutdowns and church services led by Rev. Marshall Harrington. A. S. Mowry, his wife, and granddaughter Jeanine Cheney fell seriously ill from a mixture of salted peanuts and castor beans after accidental exposure, with Mrs. Mowry unconscious and all three recovering after medical intervention. Jeanine Cheney is two years old, child of Sterling Cheney and Richwood wife.

Mrs. E J King a former Marysville resident died Wednesday at the home of her son Patrick King in Jackson Tennessee from a paralytic stroke. The body was brought to Delaware by her son William King superintendent of the Illinois Central's Zazoo and Mississippi Valley division. She was 79 and had moved to Jackson nine years ago. her husband died twenty years ago and is buried in Delaware.
