Mrs Victoria Haines left the Children’s Home head cook role, Emma Jolliff taking over. Mrs. Robert Smith died in Richwood, resident here during her husband’s terms as county treasurer. Card party at D. B. Edwards and E. Mullen hosted about forty ladies with lunch. County surveyor Alvi Graham’s home fire caused minor damage, insured. Choral Union to perform The Rose Maiden at the opera house, tickets selling well. Walter Holycross fined $25 for hunting on Leo Rausch’s farm. others discharged. George W. Court and Alexander Howland dissolve buggy partnership. Court in Graycourt, Howland in Main street building. W. F. Brodrick named to Ohio State Managers Association executive committee, meeting in Wapakoneta. Rev. Vernon Emery extended a call to Congregational church, age forty, wife and child. Mrs. Harriet Parthemer and Eugene H. Herbert wed in New York. they will reside in Cleveland. Herbert’s former husband Will Parthemer works as Cleveland mail carrier.

Two men depart for El Paso Texas in search of work

Willis Mahan and Simon Kimmel left Sunday for El Paso Texas. Mahan travels for health and has secured a job printing office there while keeping his rural mail carrier post. He may settle in El Paso. Kimmel, a skilled machinist, will practice his trade there.

Young Man Ira Mitchell Severely Injured in New Dover Incident

Ira Mitchell of New Dover suffered a severe leg injury described as two breaks in his leg. Witnesses report the accident occurred during an unspecified local event and responders transported him for medical treatment.

Man suffers severe leg injury during hay baler operation

Monday morning at M. T. Cody's farm Cody sustained a deep wound in the fleshy part of the leg while operating a hay baler for Ed. The leg was mangled and may require amputation. Drs Swisher and Longbrake attended to the injured man.

Death of Frank P. Curry Noted in Nevada and Marysville

News of Frank P. Curry's death in Carson City Nevada reaches Marysville relatives. The native of Jerome township will be buried in Marysville where he ran a business college and taught penmanship and bookkeeping. He later engaged in several mining ventures while residing in Nevada.

Masonic Lodge Invited to Columbus Gathering

The Masonic lodge of this city was invited by York lodge of Columbus to attend a large Masonic gathering next Friday evening at the Scottish Rite auditorium. A special train is possible for return. The Choral Society travels to Columbus that evening to sing, aiding the train fare.

Adams Corn Husker Co to Locate HQ in Marysville

The Adams Corn Husker Company will place its headquarters in Marysville on North Plum street in the old machine room opposite Captain Mullen's livery barn. Parts continue to be manufactured in Lansing Michigan for a time. The Adams husker is touted as one of the best on the market and faster and more efficient than rivals. Mr Adams has worked to patent the device.

World trip ends as Marine serves four years

Lute Newlove, son of John Newlove, arrived home Friday after four years in the U S Marine Corps during which he visited many parts of the world. Discharged at Norfolk, Virginia, he traveled to Columbus for enlistment and a family reunion was held Sunday at Abe Newlove's Seventh Street home to celebrate his home-coming.

Will Make Address at Farmers Institute

John F. Wilcs a proprietor of the new condensed milk plant and resident of Highland Illinois will speak at the Farmers Institute in the opera house on December 16 and 17. His talk will cover the dairy business and details of the milk plant project costing not less than 125000 dollars.

Congressman Cole Names New Secretary

Milton Haines of Marysville has been appointed secretary to Congressman Cole, after serving in the Senate folding room in Washington and previously as a census department clerk. He succeeds Burt P. Benton of Delaware, who has entered the practice of law.

Bids Opened for Sixth and Seventh Streets Paving

Bids from nine bidders were opened by Clerk Brodrick with the engineer and councilmen present. The lowest bid came from F. M. Kemp & Son of Middletown Ohio, followed closely by Jones & Welsh of Marysville. Tabulation by the engineer will precede council approval at the December 12 meeting. Kemp previously laid over two miles of paving in 1904.

Thanksgiving Services Draw Large Crowd in Marysville

The union service at the Presbyterian church led by Rev. A. E. Harford drew a very large attendance with men outnumbering women for the first time, as federated men's clubs gathered at the courthouse and marched in. Other ministers included Rev. H C. Colburn, Rev. A. C. Crist, and Rev. Harrington. The choir provided excellent music.

Mrs. G L Sellers aged 69 longtime Marysville resident died Saturday noon at her south Main Street home after a long illness. Native of Marysville she married Mr. Sellers fifty years ago on November 27. Survived by Major John L. Sellers and Mrs. Chas E. Smalley plus three sisters. First Interurban Car Reaches Richwood on Thanksgiving Day

The Columbus Magnetic Springs and Northern line delivered its first electric interurban to Richwood on Thanksgiving 1907. Frank Mitchell drove the first car with Bert Loveless as conductor, riders from Richwood headed toward Magnetic Springs and Columbus, and a temporary depot with a waiting room was set up on South Franklin Street. Fare prices listed include 10c Richwood to Magnetic Springs and 75c round trip Richwood to Delaware.

Change of Sunday Mails on Cincinnati Division

Postmaster C H Huffman received an order from the chief clerk of the railway mail service stating trains 3 and 16 will discontinue their mail cars on the Cincinnati division of the Erie beginning next Sunday.
