Vinita Couple Weds Quietly at Local Pastor Home

In Vinita Oklahoma on Sunday at 5 pm Harry Bagby and Katherine Andrews both of Vinita wed in Rev J W Sims residence on North avenue. After a brief ceremony the couple traveled to Kansas City for Thanksgiving football game then planned to settle in a cottage at Tahlequah avenue and Smith street.

Thanksgiving Day Wedding at Sidney and Local News

Delmer Cahill and Eva Hall were married at 8:30 p.m. in Sidney presbyterian church by Rev. Charlton then traveled to Cincinnati and back before returning to Richwood. Local Family Surprises Mrs Jones on 58th Birthday

Relatives of Mr and Mrs Edward Jones on East Ottawa Street gave her a surprise Sunday for her 58th birthday. A fine dinner was served and many useful presents and beautiful post cards were given. Mrs Charles Fields and children of Radnor were the only distant guests.

Death of Peter Buckmaster at Blissfield

Peter Buckmaster seventy six of Blissfield Coshocton county died last Friday from pneumonia after a brief illness. The funeral was held Sunday with attendance by Henry Hoxworth and wife Mr and Mrs C E White Mr and Mrs Elmer Fisher Mrs Owen Cheney of this vicinity and Mrs Wm Grooms and son Earl of Prospect. He was a jovial old gentleman who made many friends in the area.

Newborn Girls Reported to Local Families in 1910

Born to Arby Schmelzer on the F P Elliott farm south of town on Wednesday November 23 1910 a girl. Another birth to J D Jolliff of York on Monday evening November 21 two fine girl babies. The Jolliffs moved from Claiborne township to York township a decade ago finding York more productive in some respects.

Richwood theatergoers await a rare treat Monday evening December 5 with Mary J. Holmes Lena Rivers staged by Manager Spangler. The company, praised after Thanksgiving in Fort Wayne, guarantees refunds if not satisfied and urges early seat reservations. The troupe visits Kenton December 3 at the Dickison Theatre before heading to Sidney.

Corn Variety Test Meeting At Ohio Station

The Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station partnered with J. S. McGinnis of York township to test corn varieties side by side on similar soil to determine yield per acre and suitability for the region. Yields will be reported at the meeting with a forthcoming Gazette Republican update. W. M. Cook will lecture on corn culture seed selection and varieties. All interested in corn culture urged to attend a corn show and learn more.

Rare Treat Concert At Richwood Opera House

Mme Genevra Johnstone-Bishop and Miss Saciemae Allen of Marion performed under the Schubert club to a fair sized audience. Bishop charmed with languages and personality while Allen offered a sweet mezzo soprano voice and pleasing selections. Financial receipts fell short of expectations.

Miss Mae Martin visits relatives in Ashtabula and Cleveland. Guests include Miss Rose Reder of Akron at the home of A. I. Glick on East Blagrove Street. W. E. O E Durfey living west of Richwood reports a string of hog deaths over several weeks attributed to a disease believed to be cholera affecting the herd.

Married Couple Has Essex Wedding at M P Parsonage

LeRoy Hoffman of the Richwood area and Nellie E. Roberts of Prospect were married at the M P parsonage in Essex Sunday evening by Rev. Calkins. The couple will live on the Hoffman farm east of Essex and recently traveled to Chicago for the International Stock Show.

Death in West Lafayette prompts funeral for 86 year old

Mrs. Dora McPherson and daughter Edith travel to West Lafayette Ohio on Saturday after the death of Mrs. McPhersons mother in law aged 86. The funeral occurred on Sunday. M Ficher an Erie brakeman paid a total of 9 00 after a Friday court appearance for assaulting J F Stallsmith over a Beatty avenue crossing blockage. Louise Stahl of Byhalia hosted a large Sunday school gathering Thanksgiving day with 36 attendees enjoying a three course dinner music games and desserts.

Sampson Hubble Snowden was born in Green county Ohio on March 11 1841 and died near Richwood Ohio November 20 1910 aged 69 years 8 months and 9 days. A life of Christian service marked by military service in the 174th Infantry and steadfast church work at Finley Chapel and in Richwood with his wife Mary Flesher Snowden. He leaves a widow a son Clarence a daughter Mrs Cora Moore a granddaughter Miss Bessie Moore a brother and two sisters.
