Edgar Marion Horn born June 5 1860 near West Chester Tuscarawas county Ohio died April 2 1908 on his Bremen area farm. He married Lorinda McAdow Oct 25 1877 and Ivanella Oden Sept 2 1894. daughters Clara Monnette and Armeda. He joined Methodist Protestant then Bremen M E church and was valued in home church and community.

Estate settles as widow receives cash and policies
The estate of S. N. McCloud is settled with the widow taking $5500 in cash, $2750 in life policies, and renouncing dower rights and the first year’s allowance. The estate is valued at about $32,750. Saloon Sunday Closing Ordinance Enacted
The council passed a Sunday saloon closing ordinance. Violations from 10 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday incur fines from 50 to 200 dollars and 10 to 30 days in a state workhouse. Previously fines funded the county treasury with no city share.
Death of Mrs. Wm. Kirby at Sixth Street Home
Mrs. Wm. Kirby aged 44 died Saturday after a long cancer illness. She leaves eight children oldest 18 youngest four. Funeral services were Sunday at the residence conducted by Rev. Emery. Body shipped to Versailles Darke county for interment. The family moved here three years ago from Manchester tied to J. M. Peel hoop mill.

Thoughtful Old Soldier Receives Marriage Affidavit Request
Capt. H. C. Hamilton, a thoughtful veteran, received a letter from Calvin B Holbrook of Pleasant Lake North Dakota requesting an affidavit regarding Holbrook's marriage to Mary Ann Gearhart daughter of Isaac Gearhart who lived near Elijah Harris farm from 1833 to 1850. Holbrook went West in 1866 built a fortune there and provided proof for the pension department in case of death. He urges other ex soldiers to do likewise.
