The State Fish and Game Commission will stock state hatchery and streams with game fish from overflow pans in western Kentucky once temperatures permit. It has leased thousands of acres along the Ohio and Mississippi rivers and received fish from the New Elersbee Club of Levington and the Richmond Water Company. C M Canfield local taxi proprietor returned Thursday from a vacation trip to Cleveland Ohio. He traveled in an Overland Four covering 350 miles in fifteen and a half running hours. The journey was notable due to rough road conditions caused by repair work.
Paving Bids Sought for Seven Miles of Pikes
State Highway Engineer Joe Boggs announced bids will be opened August 23 for seven miles of the Richmond and Lexington pike. The Fiscal Court and State Highway Department approved the project.
