University of Richmond football begins practice under Coach Glenn Thintlethwaite for a nine game slate. The Spiders host Roanoke College September 20 then travel to Cornell on September 27, with Homecoming October 20 against Emory and Henry. Johnston will address new students on club activities and membership requirements as twenty four student leaders are named as advisers to the 1934 6 Freshman class.
