Last Saturday afternoon colleges joined in a royal welcome for Virginia war veterans on West Franklin Street. A lively block parade led by college girls featured spirited cheers and a marching column. Wounded veterans rode in automobiles as the procession passed, with continued coverage promised on page two.

Dr Freeman Lectures On Anglish Language At West Hampton Chapel

Medals Awarded at Phi Logian Society Meeting
At the Phi logian Literary Society on Monday May 26 contestants competed for the improvement in debate and the best reader’s medal. CG G Carter won the debate medal and W J Hatcher the reader’s medal with the poem Fiorette by Robert W Service. The judges were Professors Bryan Handy and Dingus. QO Kincanon won the best declamation against eight opponents.
