UR Graduation Week At Richmond College Six Day Events
The University of Richoni marks its 109th commencement June 10 with 206 graduates across schools. President Boatwright will conferred degrees, with Virginia congressman Clifton Woodrum delivering the main address. Alumni events run June 7 to 9 featuring a banquet, theater presentations, and the Alumni Medal ceremony plus 52 alumni certificates.

Mortar Board Cup Awards To Westhampton Seniors And Sophomores
The Mortar Board Cup was awarded jointly to the senior and sophomore classes at Westhampton's last chapel. Margaret Forrer announced a new Mortar Board honor roll including Phyllis Anne Coghill Jeanette Evans Juliette Loving and Antoinette Wirth. Keys were given to loyal senior Glee Club members and Louise Cardozo spoke as new president, gifting tokens to Josephine Fennell Dorothy Hewes Dagmar Jacobson Mildred Owen and Sarajane Payne. The event closed with a farewell from Dean May L. Keller and singing as all classes moved seats.

Finals to feature Woody Herman and Jimmy Dorsey in semi formal weekend at Richmond
University of Richmond set finals June 9 and 10 in Millhiser Gym with two big name bands. Woody Herman Band and Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra will headline the campus events with featured vocalists Muriel Lane Helen OConnel and Bob Eberle. Tickets priced for subscribers range from 1 to 3 dollars for the dances with tea events and two night shows running nine to one.

Vespers to Hear Greek Professor Bass Subject
Professor Walter E. Bass will speak at vesper services on "The Two Evaluations Of Man" this Sunday evening. He holds a B A from the University of Richmond earned 1940 and has served as assistant professor of Greek and History. He expects to finish his M A in June and to study at Columbia University next year. He also writes for the Religious Herald and serves as pastor of Fort Lee Baptist Church.

Major Moore To Talk to Men At University of Richmond
Major Howard Moore of the United States Army Air Corps will be at the University of Richmond campus through Commencement Day to interview applicants and answer questions about the Air Corps. Langley Field has sent 21 officers to colleges in Virginia New Jersey Pennsylvania Maryland and DC to recruit cadets and organize college teams with Army colors for training at flying schools.
