Finals' Bands To Broadcast Music June 1-2
Finals week at Millhiser Gymnasium features Prank Masters and his Swingmasters on Monday night and Woody Herman on Tuesday afternoon and night. Ted Booth announces Masters music 11 05 to 11 30, Herman’s rhythms 6 16 to 5 45 P M, with campus Radio Guild head Jesse Tucker arranging the broadcasts. Chaperones are Dr and Mrs F Byers Miller and Mrs Raymond B Pinchbeck. Virginia Electric and Power Company provides streetcar service for the crowd.

University captains named for baseball track and tennis teams
Al Wheeler of Fredericksburg and Dick Thistlethwaite of Richmond will lead the University of Richmond baseball and track squads next year, with Bruce Kellison of Dumfries elected captain of the tennis team. Wheeler set a 7 0 season record against Old Dominion. Thistlethwaite is a top scorer and high jumper holder, also a basketball letterman. Kellison played mainly at number three in singles.

University of Richmond may lose band director W T Sinclair next year per Clifton Booker president of the band. Dr F W Boatwright confirms a doubt about his return citing business in Richmond. If he leaves a replacement is uncertain and Sinclair will take some of his instruments, including the bass horn essential to the band.
