UK Summer School Office announces prematriculation for the summer session from May 30 to June 2 in Ryland Hall Room 103. Students with admission cards may register and pay fees. those without must apply by May 25.
The second YMCA square dance for this year is set for 8:00 tonight on the Westhampton tennis courts. It’s an annual event, moved to this term after strong turnout, with the regular fall dance planned for the first week of classes.
The Baccalaureate service for seniors is Sunday June 5 at 7 50 p.m. in Gannon Memorial Chapel with speaker Dr Lucius M Polhill executive secretary Baptist General Association of Virginia. The President's Reception for seniors parents and faculty is Monday June 6 from 3 30 to 4 30 in Keller Hall. Graduation exercises follow that night June 6 at 7 30 p m in the Greek Theatre with speaker Dr Theodore A Distler executive director of the Association of American Colleges in Washington D C.
Frederick Sale Jr and Anne Mills named editors in chief of COLLEGIAN and Westhampton editor respectively. R Christopher Hassel joins COLLEGIAN as business manager. Other appointments include Messenger editor Robert Fife Jr and Westhampton editor Nancy Carmack. The 1961 Web editor will be Edward Heite with Lindy Powell as Westhampton editor and Robert Hawkins as business manager.
Westhampton seniors presented a senior show in Keller Hall with scenes from their scrapbook. The program featured revisited ratting May Day dances and a pink toilet paper memory, plus the Last Will and Testament read by the Class of 1960 after a song contest won with a dog bark.
Ed Shiver, president of the Student Government, outlines next fall projects at Richmond. A bi weekly Student Food Committee with Milt Kener will discuss menus and dress at the refectory. Fall Dance on November 11 is planned with a band and fraternities urged to plan events Friday night.
Edward Heite, a Richmond College junior history major, wins the R. C. McDanel Historical Society term paper contest with Navigation Aids in the Delaware Capes A Saga of Life-saving Written in Stone. Runners-up: John B. E. Davis Olen H. Lewis and Frederick Sale Jr. all of Richmond College.

Westhampton College held its moving-up chapel on May 17 with awards for The Foreign Film Societies Award went to Nancy McCulloch for languages. Athletic Association Seals were Lanetta Ware Poyce Birdsall and Shirley Fish. The class of 1960 won the general athletic championship.
