Sophomore Class Wins Mortar Board Plaque At Westhampton
Westhampton College honors the Sophomore Class with the Mortar Board Plaque for spirit and service. Five AA seals were given by Judy McCann to Pat Brown Carol Henry Christa Merts Joan Odland and Pat Smith for their involvement in tutoring at Richmond Home for Boys and drives for veterans and overseas funds.

Commencement set with Kraemer to speak at June 5
About 450 candidates will receive degrees at commencement exercises on June 5 in the Mosque. Dr Charles B Kraemer president of the Presbyterian School of Christian Education will deliver the commencement address after the procession. A Baccalaureate Service is planned for June 4 in the Luther Memorial Theatre with Rev Arthur W Rich delivering the sermon.

Dr. Jerry Tarver will become chairman of the department of speech and dramatic arts in June, succeeding Dr. Bert Bradley who departs for a University of North Carolina post. Tarver came to the university in 1963 as an instructor and holds BA MA and PhD from LSU.

Recommendations Made By Grievance Committee
The Richmond College Grievance Committee proposed two changes to the University refectory system. It urged dorm residents be allowed to live without a meal ticket and suggested selling Slater System tickets per semester or in a block to let students use them selectively. The group seeks a referendum next semester after a campus food survey.

Miss Kallmyer Named Miss Pixable at Miss USA Pageant
Betty Kallmyer WC freshman from Rockville Maryland representing Virginia won the Miss Pixable title at Miami Beach. She placed sixth last year as Miss USA contestant and Miss Photogenic. A Westhampton cheerleader she plans mathematics and modeling while pursuing TV work.
