Will Osborne Signs To Play First Night At Dance

The Will Osborne orchestra will headline the Monday night dance with Hal Kemp leading the tea dance on Tuesday. Osborne, a baritone maestro, is praised for his saxophone and trombone emphasis while the band features a noted reed section.

Kemp's Orchestra Adds Three Smoothies and Nan Wyn for Finals

Non union bands previously employed by organizations. Kemp's nationally famous melodies drew dancers to last spring's finals. With Three Smoothies and songstress Nan Wyn joining the aggregation, his appearance is expected to be more successful this year. Dance tickets cost 3.50 for subscribers and 7.00 for non subscribers.

Younts Elected Harlequin Club Head in Miami

Charleton P. Younts of Miami Florida was elected president of the Harlequin Club for the coming year at a meeting in the Administration Building. Johnny Watkins was elected vice president with Stan Tutwiler as secretary and Tommy Jordan as treasurer.

Poll of Students Shows Liberal Conservative Split at Richmond Westhampton

Psychology department survey of 270 students used twenty questions by John Ridenour to gauge views. The sample included 180 boys and 90 girls with results showing a strong female leaning toward more lenient divorce laws, while a warning to boys was noted.

Senate Ok s Honor Council Appointees

Four new members join the University of Richmond Honor Council after approval by the student senate. Senior appointees are Carlton Whitlatch and Walter Bass, with juniors Bob Kiel and Ed Arendall and sophomore Henry Garnett. Whitlatch leads University Players and the Radio Guild. Bass edits the Messenger. Arendall heads the Philalogian Literary Society.

Classes of 39 and 42 Tie for Mortar Board Cup

The senior and freshman classes at Westhampton College share this year's Mortar Board achievement cup. Garland Wilson presented the award in chapel to Alice Evans and Ethne Flanagan, presidents of the senior and freshman classes. Yearbook Delayed Two Weeks Says Klafftky Editor

The Web yearbook will be late by about two weeks after graduation, announced editor Al Klafftky. Delays stem from difficulty obtaining campus photos and a larger 9x12 publication with padded cover. Individual fraternity write ups and society pictorials replace group photos, with mail delivery to students.
