Lydia Hatfield of Hickory North Carolina, a sophomore at Westhampton College, was unanimously elected president of the Richmond University Players last Monday night. Miss Hatfield, the dramatic coach Miss Emily Brown praised for spirit and energy.

University Players to Publish Four One-Act Plays
Four one act plays will be published by University Players with Leslie L. Jones and W. Roland Galvin coordinating in the Red Cross building. If 100 subscriptions are received, the book should appear by June 1 at a price not over 1.25 dollars. This marks a first for Richmond performers in publishing a set of plays.

White and Herman Debate at Fork Union Institution

Three UR Students Win Dramatic Contest
Three of the five plays in the News Leader contest were written by University of Richmond students. The works are The Dark Crystal by Margaret Knight Btude Printanier by Leslie L. Jones and The Feud by Harry Waldron. The Feud was among four original one acts staged Friday at the Red Cross building. Authors will revise and resubmit by May tenth. the best will be chosen from the five revised entries.

Philologian Society Hikes to Bosher's Dam
