Richmond College elected class officers in a series of tight races with several ties. Lucas won the at large senate seat filling Haddock's vacancy by a 45 to 44 margin over Miles, Britton 41. Senior, Junior and Sophomore officers chosen for next year include Chastain as Senior Class President, plus close contests for vice president secretary and treasurer across classes.

The Westhampton Student Council installation was held in Cannon Memorial Chapel on Monday May 1. The retiring president Mildred Alexander addressed the student body and urged continued progress of the student government system. Interfraternity Council reports ongoing mix ups delay securing a band for the finals dances in the Biology Building. Garber’s band was contended with UNC bid and faculty committee delays follow, while Eddy Duchin and others are considered. Maryland Hall hosts dedication and biology round tables led by Needham Lewis Barbour Davis with tours and a reception.
