University Choir Lands NBC Summer Broadcast
The University Choir will be aired on NBC radio for four consecutive Sundays in July as part of the Great Choirs of America series. Director James Erb learned of the program from a choir member and submitted a tape of the 1957-58 choir for consideration. The team performed Wednesday night in Lynchburg at the Eagle Eyrie Baptist Assembly during Church Musician's Week.

Greeks Offer Plans For Improvement

Westhampton Plans Experimental 1:30 Lecture Hour
Westhampton will test a fall schedule with a 1:30 hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays for lectures and meetings to reduce after dark activities. Dean Josephine Tucker explains the plan prioritizes lectures and club meetings while avoiding clashes. 297 students responded to a poll and about 90 girls would join the YWGA if it met then.

Jazz and Modern Music Featured in Spring Concert and Dance
May 9 event combines a 3 to 5 pm concert with Maynard Ferguson and his band in Milhis er Gymnasium. Rich mond College SGA sponsors the semi formal dance from 9 pm to midnight. Tickets cost 1 50 for the concert 4 per couple for the dance and 6 per couple for both. Prizes awarded to the selling fraternity.

ROTC Cadets to Receive Awards at Annual Inspection
Thirteen ROTC cadets will be honored at the University ROTC battalion annual inspection on Milhiser Field next Thursday. Awards include the Superior Cadet Ribbon to Krause, Clement, Roberts, and Watts. Magee receives the Scabbard and Blade Gold Medal. King earns the AUSA Medal. four students gain NSSAR medals for top academics. Williams and Hanenkrat receive Command and Drill honors. Paul earns Drum and Bugle Corps recognition. and Watkins plus Hanenkrat are Rifle Team medallists. Inspectors include Col Stapleton, Major Coleman, and Capt Dudley from three universities.

University Band to Perform Pop Concert in Greek Theatre
The University of Richmond Concert Band directed by Mr. Robert Barker will give a Pop Concert in the Greek Theatre on Thursday May 7 at 4 30. The program includes The Most Happy Fella My Fair Lady Leroy Anderson Belel of the Ball Cuban Fantasy two marches Alaxia and Sousa. Barker on Richmond faculty two years and former Air Force Band player.
