Renovation of the cinder path invites a slate of meets over the next two months. The Spiders open with Wake Forest in April and face The Turheels April 22 with 25 to 30 experienced men. The South Atlantic Championship comes May 1–2 at Charlottesville, followed by the Annual Field Meet May 8.

Y. M. C. A. Elects New Officers for Next Year
The Y M C A elected P. Huirrup as President W L Davis as Vice President J C Adams as Secretary T W Beazley as Treasurer and L C Dickenson as Secretary of Missions. Installations occurred Thursday night with plans to send delegates to Blue Ridge Southern Student Conference in June. The group aims to have at least twelve volunteers to assist the new Secretary and strengthen the work.

Crowds Return From Short Holiday at College Campus
The between term break ended last Tuesday with enthusiastic reception as the campus emptied briefly. Baseball practice continued while others enjoyed the pines and quiet waters. Westhampton College reopened yesterday with few students remaining and most faculty away. Vesper services will resume next Sunday.

Granite gateways mark old Richmond College site entrance
Dr. Boatwright awarded the contract for two white granite gateways at Lombardy and Grave and Ryland and Grave streets to mark the old Richmond College campus on Grace Street. Each gateway features two 21 foot pylons with bronze tablets and electric lights, modeled after Paris bridges, with completion expected by June.

Edmonds Shakespeare Pageant draws wide interest in May
Edmonds schools and local organizations back a May pageant centered on Doctor Boatwright as Shakespeare. Richmond College President Boatwright tops a festival cast with faculty and trustees aiding in processions to Wenilworth Castle and the Globe Theatre. A temporary Globe Theatre and Arme Hathaway’s Cottage are planned with London Bridge set near the Science building.

Death of Professor Edmond Harrison Marks Richmond College Loss
On Sunday March 19th the death of Professor Edmond Harrison was announced. He held the Latin chair at Richmond College for nearly thirty years after joining in 1866. He later moved to Kentucky to head a girls school before returning to live with his son in Greensboro. The Tus Counwaran mourns his passing and extends sympathy to his family including grandson Rucker, a student.
