Formal installation of student officers takes place today

Formal installation of the Student Government Association officers elected March 6 occurs at 11:00 in the Chapel. Lloyd H. Caster becomes president, R. Nelson Sibold is succeeded, Nerman B. Dixon is vice president, R. C. Pitts secretary, and W. Gustaf Bente treasurer. Senators at large H.2 Neathery Lee Gaskins J. B. Daily T. C. Yeaman take seats.

Glee Club to Give Recital Tomorrow in Richmond

The Richmond College Glee Club will perform by invitation of the Musicians Club of Richmond on Saturday at 5 00 at the Woman's Club. They will sing three selections and the event is noted as an honor given the club by Richmond's premier music organization.

Governor Byrd to Speak at University Convocation

Governor Harry Flood Byrd will headline the convocation at the University of Richmond next Tuesday to promote Virginia state constitutional amendments. The event includes an honorary Doctor of Divinity for Reverend George W. Sadler, who departs for Africa before June. Classes will be suspended during the ceremony in the chapel.

Philologians Elect Officers For Remainder Of School Term

The Philologian Literary Society chose its officers last Monday night: President J. W. Kineheloe Jr. already elected before Christmas. Vice President E. L. Hants. Sargeant-at-Arms Robert H. Evans. Secretary J. B. Daily. Literary Critic H. Otis Mayhew. Hall Debater M. L. Leary. Censor L. A. Irby. Chaplain C. R. Stevens. Hall Managers A. S. Tomlinson and Gray R. Bromleigh. E. L. Honts and R. P. Johnson were named as representatives on the Forensic Council for the next year. A social-event committee was formed.

Collegian to Release Easter Issue Before Spring Vacation

The Easter Collegian will be published Wednesday morning ahead of Spring Vacation. The eight page issue will suspend operations until April 20. Students are urged to obtain copies before leaving campus.

Williams Law School elects officers for coming session

Harold F. Snead elected president of the T. C. Williams Jr Law School student body in annual elections. Other officers include William H. Keyser Jr vice president morning division John C. Godwin vice president evening division Temple W. Broaddus secretary N H Montague Jr treasurer and senators R H Powell Philip Whitfield and C R Miller. Snead also holds honors at the University of Richmond including membership in Omicron Delta.

Juniors Schedule Monday Meeting in Dr Mitchells Room

The Junior Class will meet Monday at 1 30 in Dr Mitchells room to finalize plans for the Junior hike. A committee including Dixon Cosolaro Anderson and Harrison will report. Girls are limited to Westhampton but not necessarily to Juniors. men urged to attend.

Mrs. Woodward, manager of the Richmond College cafeteria, praises a variegated menu introduced in the past week. Kitchen staff added sandwiches pastries and snacks for lighter meals and those with smaller appetites as spring weather warms campus dining. She invites student suggestions and assures courteous consideration of reasonable changes.

Sigma Upsilon Elects Three To Membership

The Sigma Upsilon National Honorary Literary Fraternity announces new members: L. N. Bloom berg, Joseph Nettles, and Francis Franklin, honored for their literary work at the University and Messenger contributions. A meeting is set for tomorrow night at the apartment of W. G. Richardson.

Campus Orchestra to Play For The Swan Tonight

The campus orchestra led by Morris Crawford will provide music for The Swan at the Strand Theatre tonight. The Swan at Strand Theatre Stars Westhampton Richmond Seniors

Margaret Knight and Marion Jones lead a 17 member cast in Ferenc Molnar The Swan presented by Westhampton and Richmond Colleges seniors tonight at 8115 Strand Theatre. Elmer Potter and Marion Jones play Dr Hans Agi and Prince Albert with Margaret Knight, Elmer Physioc, Louise Figgs and others in key roles. This marks the largest dramatic project by the University Players or the senior classes.

Westhampton Student Government Elections Set for Monday

Westhampton Student Government elections are planned for Monday at 3 00 PM in the Red Cross. Voters will choose the president vice president secretary treasurer and editors of the Web Collegian and Messenger for the 1928 29 session. Cecilia Hunt currently leads the organization and candidates have been suggested with growing interest.

Junior Jollies Delight Westhampton Audience

Westhampton's Junior Jollies played last Friday night to broad student support. The humorous program aimed to entertain without seriousness and featured five well-timed scenes with strong local humor. Encores were frequent as the collegiate crowd showed their appreciation.
