Mortar Board Taps Eight Jrs To Membership
On Wednesday night March 14 the Mortar Board tapping ceremony took place in Cannon Memorial Chapel for eight junior members. Ann Clark spoke on leadership scholarship and service. Juniors wore white and Candles marked the torch of Mortar Board as Lillian Belk spoke for Alma Mater. The tapped juniors were Alta Ayers Betty Edwardson Caroline Goode Ellen Hodges Patricia Husbands Virginia Lambeth Cornelia Reid and Jeanne Yeamans with Yeamans tapped last becoming next year’s president.

UK Psychology Club Elects New Officers

Richmond College Student Government Election Ends in Liberal Victory
After a week of campaigning the Liberals and Progressives at Richmond College held student government elections on March 18. Gordon Conklin was the Liberal presidential choice, unopposed, while Douglas Goforth secured the vice presidency for the Progressives. Most Progressive candidates won, with only Ellwanger and Wilson not elected. the slate included L O Snead and Ted Eggleston as secretaries and other named posts across boards and councils.
