Students To Hold Science Open House Fair
Students will stage a science open house Friday March 23 from 9 to 10 pm in the science buildings. Exhibits by student honor societies in mathematics physics biology chemistry and psychology will be on display and demonstrations open to the general public.
University Band to Play at Madison College
Continuing their concert season the University Band will perform at Madison College on Monday evening March 19. Solo clarinetist Samantha Embrey will be featured in Weber Concertino with selections from Porgy and Bess and West Side Story also in the program.

Westhampton Class Plants Memorial Red Maple Tree
The Westhampton Class of 1965 held its annual tree planting on March 13 to dedicate a red maple. Sue Parrish spoke as class president and accepted by Dean Marguerite Roberts. Dean Roberts and the faculty joined freshmen in adding dirt while singing the Alma Mater. Class sponsor Miss Martha Galdwell received a gift.

St John Urges Blend of Science and Culture at Phi Beta Kappa Convocation
Dr. Seymour St John headmaster of the Choate School told Phi Beta Kappa convocation attendees that science and humanistic culture must join to reach truth. The Young Republican Club met in the Student Center at 7 30 p m with about 70 attendees including a delegation from the RPI Club. The program opened with Operation Abolition, a film about Communist led college mobs opposing the House Un American Activities Committee. Sandra Miller was elected treasurer and Archie Robertson Anna Lee Dooley Paul Barbery Strother Smith were elected delegates to the city wide committee with Charles Samuels and Michael Jarrett as alternates. The Region IIT convention was discussed and the next meeting was set for April 2.
