Danforth Fellow Winders Surges From Phi Beta Kappa Rejection
Richmond College senior James Winders was named a Danforth Graduate Fellow, one of 107 nationwide, becoming the fourth UR student to win since 1951. The award aids future PhD study in teaching fields, with stipends up to 1800 per year single and 2200 to 2950 married, and considers GREs and character criteria. Winders is married to Rebecca Mauck, a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Westhampton College.
