University Policy Committee Releases Draft Report
The University Policy Committee appointed by President Modlin has issued a first draft and will hold open hearings next week for student input. Hearings are scheduled Wednesday 2:90 to 4:30 in Keller Hall Reception Room and Thursday 9:50 to 5:90 in the Student Center Lounge. The panel seeks a statement on rights and responsibilities of students faculty administration and staff. The draft notes prohibited conduct and penalties and upholds constitutional rights including peaceful assembly and demonstrations that do not disrupt university operations. It outlines procedures for order maintenance, exclusion of disruptors, and pending jurisdiction for administrative or student judiciary matters. The final report will cover enforcement due process and appeal procedures.
