University Players stage The Black Flamingo melodrama
Rehearsals for the University Players production The Black Flamingo are under way with director Alton Williams selecting a cast. The cast includes Bodier innkeeper and his wife Babette Glick, Mary Dell Crouch in female comic lead, Linwood Brandis as Pope, and Gavroche played by Arthur Gore. The play debuts April 24 after six weeks more practice at Westhampton College venues and Richmond Glee Club events.

Westhampton's Junior Class directed by Margaret Carpenter won the carnival song contest held Friday night in the Student Government Room. Members wore white dresses with green sashes, one song was chosen from four, and letters for excellence were awarded to Kate Peterson Juliet Florance Lucy Baird Mollie Fleet Jane Car Mo Juliet Shell Allie Martin Arlene Kramer Julia McClure.

KS Spring Formal Held At Millhiser Gymnasium
The Beta Beta chapter of Kappa Sigma presents its sixth annus spring formal in the Millhiser Gymnasium to honor the chapter’s 39th founding and the house opening. Ray Frye and his Virginians will provide music for the nine o’clock dance after a buffet supper at the chapter house for active members and guests including Governor and Mrs. Peery and the lieutenant governor.

Law School Student Government elections at University of Richmond last Tuesday produced a sharp contest for three offices. Allan H. Lane was unopposed for vice-president by 48 of 49 votes. Joseph A. Alexander led Donald Slagle for president 29 to 20. Ernest Gearheart won secretary 31 to 16. Samuel H. Allen defeated EB Williams 382 to 17 for treasurer. Installations are planned in May.

Special Examinations Set For April Two
The dean's office announces special examinations will be held Friday April 2. Requests must be made before Easter holidays with the treasurer's two dollar fee receipt. Students with first semester conditioning may remove it April 2 or wait until September. Mid semester grades are due March 24 and released after Easter. Spring vacation starts March 24 at 5 PM with classes resuming April 1.
