Big Class Meet Signals Bright Track Prospects

Monday afternoon the Knights of the Spiked Shoe began training as about thirty five men reported for the team. Prospects are bright for one of the best tack teams in school history with the class meet on the 27th and a dual meet with Virginia Polytechnic Institute a week later. Walter Durham leads the team and is in good shape despite earlier injuries.

Candidates for Governor Speak at Richmond College Alumni Banquet

The Aluyoni Association of Richmond College hosted a seven course supper at the Palm Room Jefferson Hotel. After-dinner talks by Lt Gov Wilson, Attorney General Pollard, and President Boatwright praised the college and urged a social center building. The next Virginia governor may be announced as the gathering honored alumni, students, and college teams.

Amendments to Richmond College Athletic Association Constitution

Amendments proposed by John I. Wicker Jr on March 4 2015 set candidacy rules for Athletic Association offices. Applicants must submit names in writing with two signatures ten days before elections. Inter-society debate on U S entry to war held at college

The Phiologians beat Mu Sigma Rho in a Friday evening College auditorium debate on whether the United States should enter World War I era, with Messe and Durham for the affirmative and Green and Millar for the negative. President Tucker presided as moderator. The first speaker, Mr. Barlow, discussed war inevitability and preparedness, citing historical precedents and arguing the United States is unprepared for a sudden war. The discussion continued with time-keeper notes and summaries of arguments.
