Honor Council Defends Role After Ballot Loss Rumor
The Richmond College Honor Council answered questions about missing ballots after last week’s Student Government election recount request. Chairman Pete Singleton said no written rules covered ballot tabulation and the council bears no sole blame for the mis step.

Beta Theta chapter of Beta Beta Beta honorary biology society will initiate ten new members on March 14 in the Biology Building. Active members include Charles Beck Ronald Levin Jerry Solin and Robert Wash. Provisional members are Leonard Hellerman Charles Harper Helen McCarthy Barbara White Emma Tilman and William Way. Active status requires 16 hours in biology with B average or higher. Provisional status granted to those missing one semester of biology.

Dr Charles Leonard Albright head of the University physics department died unexpectedly Wednesday night after attending a fraternity banquet. Funeral at Bethlehem Evangelical Church at 4 PM. Burial at Riverview Cemetery. He was 47 and survived by his wife Helen Webb Albright.

All Campus Party Seeks Amendment to SG Constitution
The All Campus Party will back a move to amend the Richmond College Student Government Constitution to set rules for disposal of election ballots after counting and a procedure for ballot recounts. The party spokesman cited a recent election loss when ballots were destroyed after tabulation and a recount request was denied. The amendment would define ballot retention times, destruction procedures, responsible custodians, and recount protocols, to be proposed at the March 15 SG meeting.
