Norman Parker of Roanoke High School captured first in the University of Richmond Sixth Annual Prep and High School Declamation Contest held in the university auditorium on Saturday night. He received the gold medal. Franklin Williamson of Petersburg High School finished second. Professor H. B. Handy chaired the event.

Uniform Election Laws Adopted by Student Government and Athletic Association
A joint meeting of the Student Government and Athletic Association approved the Uniform Election Laws drawn by the University weekly editor. The laws were read, debated, and passed by a large majority after initial quorum issues.
