Randolph Macon defeated Richmond College 41 to 20 in a hard fought championship game played last Saturday night. The Jackets led most of the contest while the Spiders kept within reach until the final minutes. The game was fast and grueling with strong teamwork on both sides and a close, tense finish. Woot of Richmond College opened the scoring with a goal.

New Portraits to Be Presented at College Exercises
The college will present portraits of Dr. John Pollard and Dr. J. Puryear during commencement. John Garland Pollard and Prof. Pollard oversaw paintings of their father, Dr. John Pollard, former English professor for fourteen years, and of Dr. Puryear, a long time faculty member and former chairman. Richmond artist Miss Jamie M. Whitfield is commissioned to paint both portraits to be unveiled at spring closing exercises. The portraits will join the college’s existing revered collection.
