The Blue Room hosts a Carnival de Guerre to aid French war orphans with booths and displays. A French soldier exhibit and other attractions drew crowds despite the war tax worded at the door. The event supports Red Cross and Way Relief efforts ongoing since the year’s start.
Albert C. Cheetham spoke on the Army Y M C A at a college meeting citing Camp Jackson experiences. He called the Army Y M C A the strong right arm of the church and urged students to pursue duty honorably and prepare for national service if called to the colors.
