Robins Center Opens for University of Richmond Students
The Robins Center will open Monday for University of Richmond students with most facilities available. Handball and squash courts remain unfinished. A $2.50 laundry and towel service, with a $6 surcharge for nonparticipants, covers clean gym clothes and towels. lockers are issued via the treasurer's office. Equipment may be borrowed by exchanging ID cards, with responsibility for loss borne by the student. Hours are 9 pm closing weekdays and 11 am to 5 pm Saturdays, pending final approval.

Dormitory To Close For Thomas Hall Renovation
Thomas Hall will be vacated by January 20 for a full renovation to meet fire and safety codes. If all proceeds, work would finish by mid May and potentially start on North Court dormitory in June for the new academic year. Eleven athletes move to Robins dorm and other rooms, with seniors offered off campus housing.

Prominent Authors Set For Literary Festival
A roster of authors led by Richard Wilbur Anthony Burgess George Garrett William Harrison James Purdy and Leslie Fielder will visit the University of Richmond for the Boatwright Literary Festival February 30 to March 2. The event free and open to the public features readings workshops discussions and film showings with an alumnus endowment funding. Wilbur and Wakoski headline with WAL article noting Wilbur as Library of Congress poet and translator. Fielder Taylor Harrison Garrett and Madden contribute through discussions on the American novel and film paths.
