Westhampton College Spanish department presents La Celestina a fifteenth century drama narrated by Lynn Cummins and Marian Cathey on Wednesday January 13 at 8 p m in Keller Hall College Government room. Cast includes Nancy McCulloch as Celestina and Merritt Cox as Calisto with Suzanne Foster noting strong action.

Kappa Delta Pi inducted six new members Anne Pultz Barbara Bertsch Anne Mills George Longest Ralph Copeland and John Taylor at its December meeting. Pultz a Westhampton junior on the dean’s list is social chairman of the YWCA. Bertsch a WO junior on the dean’s list is a class cheerleader and Phi Alpha Theta member. Mills a junior on the dean’s list is president of Orchesis managing editor of the Comecian chairman of REW and a Beta Beta Beta member. Longest a Richmond College senior has been in the University Chorus and Theta Chi. Copeland transfers from Frederick College to Richmond College and is a junior who was editor of the Frederick College yearbook. Taylor a Richmond College senior is in the University Chorus and Phi Delta Theta. George Cochran is group president. Newly elected officers are Copeland vice president Bertsch secretary Longest treasurer Pultz historian.

Miss Enid Starkie described Baudelaire as a Parisian poet capable of squalor in verse and praised his influence on modern poets. She noted his austere morality, his shifts from shocking early work to mature pessimism, and his Flowers of Evil as a key work. He died at 46 in 1862, later gaining lasting fame as a major 19th century writer.
