Junior Prom Set for Richmond College in Millchier Gym

Advance tickets indicate a formal junior prom at Richmond College in Millchier Gym from 8:30 to 12 midnight featuring Bill Troxell and orchestra. A thirty couple figure, interludes by a singing trio, and decorations modeled on a prior praised dance are planned with stalls for swapping dances and a single encore after about fifteen dances. Co Ords Give Dance to Open Holidays

Westhampton sophomores sponsor the fourth co ord dance of the season a Christmas dance on December 16 in the college dining room. The event features holly pine and mistletoe decorations a Christmas tree and Mike Kents Collegians as the musical act with rumors of a vocal specialty. Eleanor Whitehead chairs the dance committee and Mildred Ellyson handles tickets with Caroline Shafer Jacqueline Warner and Anna Ferrell assisting.

Tucker Tells of European Visit

Dr. Beverley Tucker told Richmond College Chapel of his and Mrs. Tucker’s ten day France trip last summer. They avoided guides and scheduled tours to see French life and architecture, arguing France should be toured with France first rather than Paris. A brief music talk by Charles Troxell urged more male participation in college music and noted the region’s lack of male degrees in music.

YWCA Circus Thursday Raises Funds for Westhampton Delegates

The YWCA in Westhampton sponsors a Thursday circus in the Tower Room, December 13 at 7 PM, to fund travel to the Blue Ridge YWCA Convention. Polly Cochran chairs the circus with Ann Wood leading the parade committee. Stunts by class groups and the Athletic Association will entertain, with general admission set at two cents and a best sideshow prize judged by Aitchison, Green, and Ridenburg.
