Robins Center director Don Spriggs announced a 1974 concert plan for Richmond Students. John Denver will perform after Christmas vacation on January 18, followed by the Earl Scruggs Review on January 26.
The Budapest Symphony Orchestra conducted by Geza Oberfrank and Gyorgy Lehel performed Weber Oberon Overture, Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, and Franck Symphony in D minor before 2000 fans at the Robins Center. Acoustics drew praise from many, though Lehel called them very bad. University of Richmond relations note student run programming and possible March Linda Ronstadt date with Mission Mountain Wood Band backing.
Students must leave ID cards with designated representatives for validation after paying second semester fees. Representatives include Clara M. Keith at Westhampton College, Richard A. Mateer at Richmond College, Ryland Hall 207, and Peggy Schumacher at the School of Business Administration Payments Office. Receipts and validated JDs available after vacation from January 4 between 8:30 and 5:00.
