Richmond College Dean Grigg elected Phi Beta Kappa alumnus

Dr Austin B E Grigg dean of Richmond College University of Richmond has been elected as an alumnus member of Phi Beta Kappa announced today Dr C J Gray secretary to the Boston Chapter said he will become a full fledged member on November 7 and participate in the initiation ceremony March 28 1974 with undergraduate inductees Grigg earned a Richmond degree in 1940 a 1947 masters and a 1947 PhD from Iowa University

UUPB to Welcome Dick Gregory in December Lecture

Comedian and human rights activist Dick Gregory will speak at the Robins Center December 6 at 8 p.m. The event, a blanket lecture sponsored by the UUPB Lecture Series, charges outside community attendees but offers free admission to University of Richmond students.

Spider Symbol Weighed for University Approval

The USGA is studying a spider mascot with a scowl and antennae to represent the university. It plans to seek majority support from students and employees and is sending copies of the symbol to all deans for review.
