Phi Gamma Delta Tops Interfraternity Song Fest During Greek Week

Phi Gamma Delta won first in the interfraternity Song Fest held at Cannon Memorial Chapel as Greek Week began at the University. Sigma Phi Epsilon finished second and Theta Chi third, with Pi Kappa Alpha fourth among ten fraternities. Phi Gamma Delta also led in the Olympics with 24 points, while Lambda Chi Alpha posted 214 and Phi Kappa Sigma 172. Ed Elliot of Lambda Chi won individual honors.

Honor Council Appointments At Richmond College

President Charles Tulloh announced April 12 Senate. two thirds majority confirmed all appoinments. Wiltshire Wooldridge and Larry Matthews continue one year.

Senate Acts on Bills at Richmond College Meetings

Senator Boggs introduced a bill to form a special committee to study keeping the post office open at night and the measure passed unanimously after review of postal laws and student inconvenience. John Booth and Walter Jackson will head the committee.

Annual Greek Carnival Lights Millhiser Gym Tonight

The ODK carnival at Millhiser Gym begins at 7 30 pm with all fraternities collaborating for a large turnout from the University and beyond. Proceeds fund the Alum ni Student Center PA system while featuring varied acts from Phi Gamma Delta Sigma Phi Epsilon and Lambda Chi.

Richmond College elects class officers in 1952 53 session

The All-Campus party won 11 of 15 offices with several ties. Syd Phillips edged Dick Jones for senior class president. Jim Wilson and Larry Matthews won sophomore and junior class presidencies. Numerous officer contests, including a treasurer tie between Lew Flippen and Dick Crowson, set for a later run.
