Eighth Annual Greek Week Opens at Richmond
Ancient Greece returns to the University of Richmond with the eighth Greek Week. A torch sendoff at Capitol Square starts Monday at 4 pm, with mayor Thomas Bryan presiding and representatives from twelve fraternities attending.

Tripped Wins First in PDE Photographic Contest
Mickey Stokes’s photograph of a Richmond fullback in fight won the $10 first prize in the Pi Delta Epsilon campus contest judged by Robert A. Dementi. Rush Loving took second and third with two images winning $7.50. Boatsworth and Riggs tied for honorable mention with $2.50 each.

Law School Elects New Officers Tuesday
The Law School plans an April 12 election with about ninety students voting. For president of the Student Bar the contenders are Russell R. Stallard and F Ward Harkrader Jr. Stallard is Secretary of the Student Bar this year, from Norton Virginia, with undergrad work at the University of Tennessee. Harkrader, from Glen Allen, is a Richmond College graduate. For vice president and Student Bar Council presiding officer the candidates are Jack Edmonds and Jim Buchner.

Richmond Debaters Win Honors At Georgetown and TRA Meets
University of Richmond debaters captured top honors at Georgetown on March 30 31 and at the Spring State TRA meet at William and Mary on April 1. Captain Ken Hodder earned best negative speaker and Ellis West posted a 22 2 year record.

RC Students To Elect Class Officers Senator at Large
Richmond College students will vote Tuesday for a Student Government Association senator at large and officers for the sophomore junior and senior classes. Candidates include Ray Ashworth and Charles Leonard for senator at large and Walter Lysaght and Frank Pajacykowski for senior class president along with many others for vice president secretary treasurer and representatives across classes. A third party the Spider Party nominates Alan Ballard for president of the sophomore class with Armistead Lambert Dan Wagner and Jim Hoffman as officers.

Kersey to Appoint New Honor Council at Richmond College
Wilbur Kersey, freshly elected president of the Student Government, plans to nominate five men to the Richmond College Honor Council. The names will be delivered to the Senate for approval within a week, with vacancies opening as current terms expire.

McNeill Society Names Williams Chancellor for 1955 56
At its March meeting the McNeill Law Society elected W. J. Williams as Chancellor for the 1955 56 term. Harold Kelly and Jack Edmonds were chosen as Vice Chancellor and Chancellor of the Exchequer. The society acts as the law school honorary society and hosts moot appellate trials open to the public.
