Petition Aims to Remove Richmond College from Union Black List

A campus Interfraternity Dance Committee meeting drafted a petition for all sponsoring organizations to require union musicians at dances and to press the administration to secure a formal AFM agreement. The move seeks removal from the union black list, as top orchestras are booked for spring engagements. Local AFM officials dispute the black list status, noting miscommunication from union leadership. The issue follows repeated use of non union bands at college events linked to the Richmond College Crew and student classes.
